Brief History:

KidsKonnect.com was developed by an elementary education Learning Center/ Media Director 8 years ago. The school she was teaching at was a model technology school for a large school district in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.

The staff wanted a better way to use the Internet. Portal pages were designed to find sites that supported the units of study being taught. The primary goal was to find the best sites available and provide the students with the safest and most effective way of utilizing the Internet.

When KidsKonnect went up onto the Internet, the decision was made to make the site available to all children throughout the world, free from an enrollment or membership fees. In order to accomplish this, we decided that advertising and sponsorship was the way to go.

Target Market:

Our main viewers are teachers, students, and parents who utilize KidsKonnect at school and at home.

We are viewed by school districts in every state and are widely viewed
in Canada, Australia, England, plus 25 other countries.

Traffic:

We receive 171,500 unique visitors each month, that generate 253,900 visits (returning users), with an average of 2,040,000 pages viewed monthly and 8 pages per visit. Keeping in mind that all of the users from a school district are generally viewed as one unique visitor.

Each visitor spends an average of 4 minutes per visit. Over 35% of our viewers have a direct address or bookmark set to KidsKonnect.com.
